1. Data Collection
We collect two types of data:
- Personal Information: We collect basic registration details such as name, email, and institution.
- Functional Data: This includes class schedules, student names, and attendance logs that you upload or manually enter into the system to facilitate attendance tracking and analytics.
2. How We Protect Your Data
We employ industry-standard encryption protocols for data at rest and in transit, ensuring that all personal and functional data is securely stored and transmitted. Access to sensitive information is strictly limited to authorized personnel, and we regularly audit our security practices to maintain the highest standards of data protection.
3. Third-Party Services
We utilize trusted third-party services such as MongoDB for database management and Cloudinary for secure media storage. Authentication on SAWA is handled through our own secure session-based system with encrypted HTTP-only cookies and protected authentication mechanisms. These services and security practices are carefully selected to maintain data integrity, reliability, and user privacy. We ensure that all external service providers follow strong security standards to help safeguard your information.
4. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you choose to delete your account, we will remove your personal information from our active databases. However, certain data may be retained in backup storage for a limited period for disaster recovery purposes, after which it will be permanently deleted.
5. User Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. You can also object to the processing of your data or request data portability. To exercise these rights, please contact us at Contact Support
